Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers)

So Jen and Kristi  are here for the Week’s  Twisted Mix-Tape Tuesday 4

So perhaps we can consider the song that would be appropriate to a breakup, with an eye towards who is doing the breakationing…. a clark (yeah, right), a scott (no! they wouldn’t!) or a roger (and yes, they do expect you to thank them!)

…yes, clarks do break up with people, but for what it’s worth, we don’t enjoy it (well, we don’t most of the time!)

rogers? oh, they are so the masters of the beautiful breakup… ‘furthermore the deponent saith not’

Perhaps you’re a scott, your perception of the often unpleasant but always exciting process of breaking up

Now, from the perspective of the instigator of (the aforementioned break up)… lets hear from the House Band for the Wakefield Doctrine:

~~~~~~ yes, there is relationship advice (and strategy) inherent in the Wakefield Doctrine!
  1. Seether made a version of Careless Whisper? WHAM! to Seether, wouldn’ve thunk it?
    Halestorm-my husband has recently discovered this group and has been playing a lot of that music. Good stuff, Maynard.
    • @SBW Girl
      yeah is totally one of those rare cases of the cover being superior (in my humble opinion) to the original
      Halestorm damn! they got everything… most excellent female chick-singer, Marshalls and the drummer!! I would listen to these guys just to watch the drummer lol (grew up playing guitar in bands, always appreciate good ‘stage antics’ in guitar players, but not often you get that done to this level in drummer)
  2. […] Mom Beyond IndieDom for her amazing, dare I say humbling take on this list. And Dr Wake-a-lot at The Wakefield Doctrine for his uniquely split personality take on who breaks up […]
  3. “…we don’t enjoy it (well, we don’t most of the time!)”
    We clarks enjoy the part about re-setting the musical choreography that is our life. You know, indulging in the emotion of the music, the cartharsis of it all:) We may not have the nads to get all emotional like other people at the right times… but we can/do at some point. LOLOL
    “Dr. Wake-a-lot”. Good one:)
    Halestorm is a most excellent band. High energy, good hooks. Appeals to the scottian in me I guess.
