the Wakefield Doctrine

the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers

3 personality types that all people share, how damn useful this Doctrine is, eh?

We want all Readers to find the time this coming Saturday ( June 4 2011)  to get in their locally appropriate mode of transportation and have a Saturday Night Drive. Lets all ‘go to Wakefield’ from 8 to 8:45 (your local time).

We want you to ‘go to Wakefield’ next Saturday (and designated Saturdays afterwards) for 2 reasons:

  1. to have fun!*
  2. (to) call us from ‘your Wakefield’,  (if there is a significant time difference, email or Comment and we will make the necessary adjustments to get the phone lines live for your Drive)

A note: get someone else to go along with you for your first Saturday Night Drive. If you are a clark then you should get your scottian (best) friend; if you are a roger then call up your clarklike friend (trust us, they won’t be too busy) to go along with you and last but not least,  if you are a scott… (lol) don’t worry, there will be people who will want to go along…just be sure that your clarklike friend is ‘riding shotgun’ to keep things coherent! Have fun!

You know…sometimes thes Posts here gets a little too clarklike, so it is not so surprising that we are  talking about a highly organised future event…

…screw that!  Any Reader who wants to hit the road, to ‘go to Wakefield’ with the Doctrine as co-pilot let us know and we will ‘turn on the radio’ if at all possible. By that we are referring to the  call-in feature of the Doctrine blog. (you can read about it over at the Wakefield Doctrine blog).  Tell us when you will be on the road and there is a reasonable chance that there will be at least a DownSpring on the line to answer any questions you might have about the Doctrine.

…about this ‘go to Wakefield’?  that is the phrase we have used to refer to the time set aside to discuss the Doctrine, maybe go out and observe clarks and scotts and roger, out in the ‘real’ world. Much has been written about the use of the Wakefield Doctrine for understanding the behavior of others in our lives, both in this blog and the Wakefield Doctrine blog. In addition to this,  currently (DownSpring) Ms. AKH is hosting (hostessesing?) a blog the Three Personality Types of the Wakefield Doctrine which is a great place to read about the Doctrine, cause AKH, she a scott. And then there is DownSpring#1’s Curlygurl Deluxe, …kinda Doctrine, but from a clarklike female perspective…v intriguing. And for a total break from the Doctrine, (‘cept the frickin guy is nothing less than the Progenitor roger)…the ‘board ’em and care ’em blog is a place to put your feet up and relax a spell. (the title?…whyn’t you ask the roger what it means…).

These are all other places to get background info on the Doctrine, to get questions to put in front of your answers (…clark(s)); to give you a sense of the history and tradition of the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers (for you rogerian Readers)…and you scotts?  no explanation is necessary, if you think this might be fun, you don’t need a reason or an excuse.

So get on up!

For a little more of a diversion, (Post-like writings) with a Doctrine flavor just stop by the Hub pages of the clark…where you can peruse Posts about the Doctrine that are not  found anywhere else!

So get to your local Wakefield and carry the message of Redemption and Hope that is the Wakefield Doctrine! Do it for the fun, do it for the education! do it ’cause in a couple of years, when everyone knows about the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers ( aka the Wakefield Doctrine), you will have the right to sit back when someone you know comes to you, excited about  “this really cool thing, this theory of Wakefield, about how neat…you can see everyone in a whole new light…”!  and you will smile and say(depending on which you are):

  • “oh really? that sounds so interesting! Tell me more…” (if you are a clark )
  • “well back in the early days, we used to walk to Wakefield in 3 feet of snow…”(the rogerian response)
  • “alright!! lets go to Wakefield and yell out the window!!” ( scotts, lol)

*don’t believe us?…go to this Post and hear for your own-damn-self

  1. any and all readers and prospective callers really have to “go to this Post” link above. it’s a short video that is fun and understandable. it truly exemplifies the three types (clarks, scotts and rogers) and you’ll really get the grasp of how to spot ’em. then when you call in you’ll be saying shit like “OMG! What a scott my brother is” or “holy shit! my girlfriend is really a …..?!” (take your pick lol) so watch it and call in. and although we have a lot of fun, don’t be misled. the Wakefield Dcotrine is a viable theory of personality types.

  3. May I suggest a “topic of the night” for each Saturday drive? Let us readers know in advance, via the Wakefield Doctrine and elsewhere, what in particular you Progenitors and Downspringthings will be talking about. Kind of like advertising what famous star will be showing up on Letterman or the Tonight Show or in this case the Doctrine’s traveling blog show.(aka Saturday Night Drive Time Blog)
    What say clarkscottroger?
    “See” you Saturday night!

  4. nah, most of the Readers are frickin clarks who are sitting and planning each and every step whereby they can use this Doctrine thing as the platform on which they will gather the necessary momentuum and besides their scottian friends have lives and their rogerian friends have friends, so they will spend a little more time in the planning and analysis stage, simply because this is such a great opportunity that they don’t want to blow it. The 1% of the more desparate clarks will set aside the time, on a Saturday night but they are so near the edge that they will not be willing to risk all that they have on this one thing, no matter how interesting it may sound, can you blame them?
